(ANSAmed) - MOSCOW, MARCH 9 - Armed Islamist opposition
groups in Syria have allegedly used "yellow phosphorus" in an
attack on the Sheikh Maqsood district in Aleppo, controlled by
Kurdish militias, Kurdish YPS spokesman Redur Xelilm said in a
report handed to the coordination center for a truce in Syria,
according to a report published Wednesday by RT, a media outlet
close to the Kremlin.
In the statement, Kurds from the YPG blamed the chemical
attack on factions Ahrar ash-Sham, al-Jabha al-Shameea, Brigade
of Sultan Myrad, Sultan Faith Battalions, Fa Istaqim Kama Omirt
Batallions, Nour ad-Deen Zinki Battalions, the 13th brigade,
al-Fau al-Oal, the 166th battalion and the battalions Abu Omara.
According to Kurdish sources quoted by RT, many Kurdish soldiers were treated in hospital for skin irritations and other symptoms of chemical substance intoxication. (ANSAmed).
