(ANSAmed) - Paris, June 2 - Saleh A., the jihadist who turned State's evidence and helped thwart attacks in Germany, wanted to go to Rome to negotiate with a certain 'Carlos' the sale to the Vatican of a video proving that Italian missionary priest Father Paolo Dall'Oglio, who disappeared in Syria in 2013, is alive, Le Monde said Friday. The French daily said Saleh A. gave himself up to French police on February 1, saying he was a member of a sleeper cell composed of 20 or so people, between Dusseldorf and a Dutch refugee camp, which was planning attacks.
