The three finalists include Amir Dandan, who comes from the village of Majdel Krum (Galilee), Yaakub Shahin, a Palestinian from Bethlehem, and Amar al-Azaki, from Yemen.

The village of Majdel Krum, Yediot Ahronot reported, has high expectations and residents are planning a large party in the event that Dandan (who lives and works in the United States) will become the winner of the talent show.

In Bethlehem, the paper also said, Shahin is very popular, also because he has already won a local televised competition.

Many in the Territories are talking about the previous victory of a Palestinian singer, Muhammad Assaf, who won the 2013 edition of Arab Idol and subsequently left the Gaza Strip to begin an international career. (ANSAmed)
