Migrants: three landings in a few hours on Lampedusa

Three boats with a total of 143 people on board

    (ANSAmed) - LAMPEDUSA (AGRGENTO), SEPTEMBER 2 - Three boats carrying a total of 143 passengers landed on Monday morning on Lampedusa, Sicily. The first boat with 63 Tunisians on board reached Cala Spugne on its own. The migrants were apprehended by security forces and taken to a hotspot in the Imbriacola area. A second boat with 65 migrants on board was intercepted by finance police a few miles off the coast. The migrants were escorted by tax police to the pier of Favaloro. A third boat with 15 migrants on board reached the island a few hours later.
