Suez: nearly 300 ships waiting, agency says

163 passed after reopening Monday

    (ANSAmed) - CAIRO, MARCH 31 - A reported 292 ships, including 142 directed to the Red Sea and 150 to the Mediterranean, are waiting to go through the Suez Canal, tweeted Leth Agencies, a company providing services to the canal.

    So far a "total of 163 ships have crossed the Suez Canal" since it reopened the day before yesterday after it was blocked when a giant ship, the Ever Green, blocked it for a week, it said in the tweet.(ANSAmed).
