(ANSAmed) - TRIESTE, JANUARY 10 - The chief of Italy's
delegation to the Central European Initiative (CEI) met
Wednesday with the governor of Italy's Friuli Venezia Giulia
region, Debora Serracchiani.
''This meeting proved that a parliamentary delegation can
indeed become an operative tool to solve problems between the 18
CEI member countries on a European level'', said Senator
Stefania Giannini, who presides Italy's delegation to the CEI.
''We have every desire and every intention to install deeply rooted relations with the CEI parliamentary delegation, because from a territorial standpoint we focus naturally on CEI member countries'', said Serracchiani.
''In the future, we will seek to act on macro-regions, on trans-border infrastructure, and on education. We need a parliamentary delegation that is actively involved in specific projects having to do with our territory'', she concluded.
