(ANSAmed) - MADRID, FEBRUARY 15 - In discussing Italy's
upcoming elections, European Commission Vice President and
Competition Commissioner Joaquin Almunia said that ''it is clear
that some of the political platforms support European
integration more than others''.
''It is also clear that Europe is concerned over a possible
win by positions which are not constructive towards the EU
project,'' he told ANSA today at a Madrid press conference.
Almunia was responding to a question over EU possible
concerns about the outcome of the February 24-25 elections.
