(ANSAmed) - NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER 30 - Over three million
Syrian refugees are registered in the neighboring nations of
Lebanon, Turkey and Jordan, noted UN humanitarian operations
chief Valerie Amos on Tuesday.
The figure was underscored at a UN Security Council meeting
on the country.
Amos noted that 11 million Syrians were in need of
assistance and that civilians continue to be systematically
targeted. On the issue of access for aid workers, she noted that
slight progress had been made.(ANSAmed).
