12 November, 14:05

(ANSAmed) - ROME, NOVEMBER 12 - Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni on Wednesday expressed ''serious concern for the violent explosion that occurred today in Tobruk, which caused victims and injuries and is the last episode in a long series of violent acts damaging the stability and cause of national reconciliation''.

''The current situation is extremely delicate and actions like this can only cause a further escalation of tension'', Gentiloni added.

''The end of attacks is the first step to resume talks between the sides, which is now more necessary than ever'', said the foreign minister. The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Libya, Bernardino Leon, ''is active for such a resumption with the full support of Italy and our representation in Libya'', concluded Gentiloni.(ANSAmed).
