JERUSALEM - Hundreds of Palestinians demonstrated in Ramallah, Hebron and Nablus in the West Bank against the intention expressed by President-Elect Donald Trump, who is being sworn-in as president Friday to move the US embassy to Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

The demonstrations, organized mostly by Fatah, the party of President Mahmoud Abbas, stated the opposition of the Palestinian leadership to the move. In Nablus, governor Akram Rujoub - quoted by the media in Ramallah - said the protest ''is the Palestinian national message to the world to clearly express that any such change by US politics'' means that ''there will not be a Palestinian State or national rights for the population''. ''This is the most dangerous message Trump could send'', he explained.
