(ANSAmed) - TEL AVIV, MARCH 29 - Boycott, divestment and Sanctions (BDS), the movement that boycotts Israel, has asked Netflix to take television series 'Fauda' off the air, saying it will file a lawsuit against the network for ''complicity in the Israeli occupation of Palestinians'' if it doesn't.

'Fauda' (caos in Arabic) is an Israeli TV show that is very successful at home and abroad and shows how undercover units of the army and security agency Shin Bet operate in the Palestinian Territories.

In the letter sent to Netflix, BDS reportedly cites the series' creators, one of the protagonists, Lior Raz, and journalist Avi Issacharoff, recalling their past in elite army units like 'Duvdevan' that, along with others, inspired the series and accusing them of ''supporting the occupation''.

Issacharoff told Haaretz that he thinks BDS has brought further notoriety to 'Fauda' and observed that ''if a few Palestinians haven't seen it yet, they will now''. (ANSAmed)
