GENEVA - The UN-mandated Group of Regional and International Eminent Experts on Yemen said in a report presented in Geneva that "individuals in the government of Yemen and the coalition, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, have committed acts that may amount to international crimes".
The Group of Experts documented information that it said "strongly suggests that parties to the armed conflict have perpetrated, and continue to perpetrate, violations and crimes under international law".
The report said coalition air strikes have caused most direct civilian casualties, and that the strikes have hit residential areas, markets, funerals, weddings, detention facilities, and even medical facilities.
