ISTANBUL - Turkish Foreign Minister Cavusoglu told German daily Suddeutsche Zeitung that there is currently "no reason" that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan couldn't meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman on the sidelines of the G20 conference this weekend in Argentina.
Cavusolgu said, however, that the final decision is up to Erdogan.
He said that he had heard the audio recording of the assassination of Saudi dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Riyadh consulate in Istanbul.
"In the recording you can hear the forensic expert giving instructions," Cavusoglu said.
"You can hear him saying that the others should listen to music while he dismembers the body. You can tell he likes it. He likes dismembering people. It's disgusting," Cavusoglu said.
He said the Turkish government maintains that the assassins did not "act alone" but at the moment there is no definitive proof on who ordered the killing.
