(ANSAmed) - ALGIERS, JANUARY 28 - A court in Algiers upheld the sentences of two former Algerian prime ministers who served under former president Abdelaziz Bouteflika, a judicial source said.

Ahmed Ouyahia was sentenced to 15 years in prison, and Abdelmalek Sellal was sentenced to 12 years in prison, after being convicted in December 2019 for corruption.

The trials regarded scandals that came to light in the automobile sector and the financing of Bouteflika's failed candidacy in elections that year.(ANSAmed). (ANSA).
