Ex-Golden Dawn leader refuses extradition to Greece

Belgian court to decide

    (ANSAmed) - BRUSSELS, APRIL 28 - The former leader of Greek neo-Nazi party Golden Dawn, the European lawmaker Ioannis Lagos, who was arrested yesterday in Brussels after the European Parliament revoked his immunity, has asked a Belgian judge not to be extradited to Greece.

    Lagos has to serve a sentence of 13 years and eight months in jail in Greece as the leader of a criminal organization.

    The Belgian chamber of council will need to rule on the execution of the European arrest warrant of Athens.(ANSAmed).
