    ANKARA - Hearing in a trial of 108 people, including pro-Kurdish officials, for charges related to deadly 2014 protests.

    TUNIS - Public healthcare workers will go on strike.

    ROME - G20 culture and tourism ministers meeting.

    TUESDAY MAY 4 ALGIERS - Appeal trial for Issad Rebrab, CEO of Cevital, Algeria's top private company, on charges of false communications on capital transfer abroad.

    ATHENS - Strike called by Greece's main trade union.

    MADRID - Early elections for the Madrid regional parliament.

    PARIS - French parliament votes on sweeping climate protection law.

    WEDNESDAY MAY 5 LISBON - Protest against lithium extraction projects.

    PARIS - Appeal trial against Rifaat Al-Assad, uncle of Syria's president, in a case of ''illicit goods" (until 14/5).

    THURSDAY MAY 6 ATHENS - Trade unions to strike against new labor law.

    BRUSSELS - EU Foreign Affairs Council (Defense).

    FRIDAY MAY 7 ISTANBUL - Inauguration of the first mosque in Taksim square.

    PORTO - Porto Social Summit kicks off.

    SATURDAY MAY 8 ALGIERS - National Remembrance Day in honour of the victims of a May 8, 1945 massacre.
