(ANSAmed) - ROME, 04 AGO - Dozens of people, including
members of the victims' families, were scheduled to gather on
Thursday afternoon in front of Beirut's criminal court to demand
justice on the second anniversary of the huge explosion that
rocked the city's port on August 4, 2020. The blast devastated
the port and a large part of the Lebanese city.
At the same time, more demonstrators are expected to stage a protest at the port, bearing banners and signs, the online edition of the newspaper L'Orient le Jour reports. Their march will then join other groups of demonstrators who will be staging a parade that will depart from the fire station of Beirut.
