The headless body of a 55-year-old
farmer was found in the Apennines near Forlì in Romagna on
Wednesday night.
The man, Franco Severi, who lived near where his body was found,
was found in a gully at Ca' Seggio di Civitella di Romagna.
Efforts to find the had have so far been in vain.
No farm machinery was fund near the corpse and police have ruled
out a work accident.
A preliminary examination established that the time of death was
24-48 hours previously.
An autopsy has been ordered.
