Olympic 100m gold medalist Marcell
Jacobs says his sights are on the world championships in Eugene,
Oregon in mid-July after winning the Italian national title for
the fifth straight time in Rieti on Saturday, in a relatively
modest time of 10.2 seconds.
"The time is just a number, my head is already in Eugene,"
Jacobs said on his Instagram profile, telling fans he was
"happy" to be back after a recent injury and saying "see you in
Stockholm next week", referring to a Diamond League event.
The 27-year-old El Paso born Azzurro, who won the world indoor
championships a couple of months ago, picked up double gold in
Tokyo after also helping the Azzurri win the 4x100m relay.
