There have been 2,697 new cases of
COVID-19 in Italy in the last 24 hours, and 70 more victims of
the virus, the health ministry said Tuesday.
That compares with 1,597 new cases and 44 more victims Monday.
A new record 662,000 more tests have been done, compared to
219,878 Monday.
The positivity rate is down from 0.7% to 0.4%.
Intensive care case are down three, and hospital admissions down
five.
The currently positive are 74,546, down 1,817 on Monday.
The recovered and discharged are 4,515,987, up 4,442 on Monday.
The case tally since the start of the pandemic is 4,722,188, and
the death toll 131,655.
