A Bari health agency (ASL) "scrimped
on security" in failing to properly protect a psychiatrist who
was killed in a local mental health centre in September 2013,
according to the explanation issued Thursday of last April's
conviction of the agency's former general manager.
Psychiatrist Paola Labriola was murdered on September 4 2013 by
a man who inflicted 57 stab wounds on her.
EX-ASL manager Domenico Colasanto was sentenced to three and a
half years in jail in April for criminal negligence.
