Seven MPs have tested positive for
COVID-19, Lower House Speaker Roberto Fico has reported to party
whips, sources said.
Fico told the whips that the contagion took place away from
parliament in all of the cases and stressed that the situation
was under control.
He said the close contacts of these MPs had been identified and
the appropriate protocols were being followed.
An anti-vax MP, Sara Cunial, was allowed to return to the House
on Tuesday even though she does not have the Green Pass, pending
an appeal against the rule making it obligatory for lawmakers to
have the COVID-19 health certificate.
