The Italian government's third
package of arms to Ukraine is in line with the dictates set out
by parliament, the head of the parliamentary secret service
oversight body COPASIR, Adolfo Urso, said after quizzing Defence
Minister Lorenzi Guerini Monday.
He said Guerini updated COPASIR on the conflict between Russia
and Ukraine and outlined the third interministerial decree
authorising the shipment of "military means, materiel and
equipment" to Ukraine.
The decree was found to comply with "the indications and
dictates of parliament", said Urso.
The anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (M5S) and the rightwing
League party have accused the government of bypassing parliament
with the arms shipments to Kyiv.
They have called for an end to such shipments and greater peace
efforts.
