Top Italian news agency ANSA on Tuesday signed a collaboration accord with Algerian news agency APS to exchange content with the aim of enriching their international news coverage.
The accord, signed in the presence of the Italian ambassador to Algiers, Giovanni Pugliese, enables the agencies to develop commercial packages supporting their countries' institutional and business communications, among other things.
Ambassador Pugliese said the deal "is an important accord that boost the exchange of information between Italy and Algeria, improving mutual knowledge and at the same time, it will support Italian businesses operating in Algeria and Algerian ones operating in Italy".
ANSA CEO Stefano De Alessandri said "this new accord between APS and ANSA, as well as guaranteeing an exchange of certified news between Algeria and Italy, is a first step in developing projects by the two agencies in support of the communications of the respective institutions and businesses in the two countries.
The two agencies will share their most successful respective projects and initiatives in which they have recently invested, in order to place experiences and results in common".
APS Director-General Samir Gaid underscored that "the signing of this cooperation accord comes in the wake of the State visit to Algeria of his Excellency the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella. Our accord is part of the development of bilateral relations and reinforcement of cooperation based on exchange and sharing and on the friendly and historic ties between our two countries."
