(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 18 - Atalanta is set to be sold to New
York based private equity fund Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR),
reports said Friday without denials from the Bergamo-based Serie
A club.
Sources said a preliminary deal had been reached to sell 85% of
the club for around 350 million euros.
Current owner Antonio Percassi would stay at the helm as CEO,
they said.
The sale would mean eight of the Italian top- light's 20 would
be Us owned.
Genoa, Milan, Parma, Fiorentina, Roma, Spezia and Venezia
already have American owners. (ANSA).
