Barcolana: the regatta's international promotion begins

The first stage in Munich, Germany

22 July, 18:54
(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 22 LUG - With the first stage in Munich, the international promotion of Barcolana54 presented by Generali began yesterday.

"We are ready for a new edition of Barcolana," said Barcola e Grignano Sailing Society Vice President Alessandro Mulas. "We are building it - he added - around the theme of joy and sharing, intending to bring the grand celebration of sailing and the sea back to Trieste and hug again, after two difficult years, all of our sailing friends from Central and Northern Europe." Also supporting the promotion in Germany is the Tal Group, acting with Siot as a "bridge between Fvg, Austria, and Germany.

"Sustainability, safety, development in economic and institutional relations," said Alessio Lilli, General Manager of the Group, "are the themes that the Tal Group shares with Barcolana, aiming to support the event and the city of Trieste.

Registration for Barcolana54 is already open, and there are fifteen registered owners from the German area, seven from Germany, and eight from Austria.

The regatta in the Gulf of Trieste "is a world event," underlined Tina Mirzai-Spitzer, Head of Corporate Communications Generali Deutschland, "and increasingly attracts German sailors and amateurs, and we hope to see more and more of them on the starting line. Bavaria, said Alessandro Marino, secretary general of the German-Italian Chamber of Commerce, "although geographically located in central Europe, has a great tradition connected to sailing thanks to its many lakes, the nearly 200 sailing clubs in the region with more than 31,000 members.

Therefore, a potential of fans can be attracted by a charming event such as the Barcolana." (ANSA).
