(ANSA) - UDINE, 23 LUG - "Joy and sharing, to bring back to Trieste the big festival of sailing and the sea." These two themes will characterize Barcolana54, the world's largest regatta to be held in Trieste on October 9. The regatta launched itself for the first time abroad in the Armani Caffe in Munich, Germany.

The best German sailor from the previous edition, Oliver Giebler, who finished 107th in the overall ranking and 15th in his category, attended the launch ceremony.

Alessio Lilli, general manager of the Tal Group, Barcolana's partner operating the Transalpine Pipeline, which transports energy from the Port of Trieste to refineries in Central Europe, underlined that the regatta "is a sailing event that over time has turned into a moment of reflection on issues that concern the sea, and SIOT (Tal Group) wants to be a messenger of the values, it shares: energy, friendship, relations with the territory, sustainability, and safety." Along with presenting partner Generali, Italcam, illycaffe', Prosecco DOC and Tosolini, the occasion allowed highlighting all the related events on land and at sea, with particular attention to the new Barcolana Maxi Trofeo Portopiccolo regatta, dedicated to the hulls over 16 meters and scheduled for October 4-6, and the poster designed by Matteo Thun.
