(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUL 30 - According to the BBC, a watch believed to have belonged to Nazi leader Adolf Hitler sold for $1.1 million (£900,000) at an auction in the United States. The Huber timepiece, which was sold to an unidentified bidder, features a swastika and the initials AH engraved on it. Before the auction at Alexander Historical Auctions in Maryland, Jewish leaders condemned it. However, the auction house, which has previously sold Nazi memorabilia, told German media that its goal was to preserve history. (ANSA).
