(ANSA) - BRUNICO, NOV 25 - "The recent approval of the
Interreg VI-A Italy-Austria 2021-27 Program represents a further
chapter in a long history of friendship and cooperation" and the
driving force for "tackling difficult challenges ahead, creating
the conditions for the development of an area that is
fundamental for the future of the whole of Europe." FVG governor
Massimiliano Fedriga said in a video message today at the launch
event of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Austria 2021-27 Program, held
today at the Lumen Forum in South Tyrol. The program prioritizes
innovation, combating climate change, sustainable tourism, local
development, and reducing cross-border obstacles and has a total
budget of more than 91 m euros, 73 m of which will come from the
European Regional Development Fund. The new program "will
provide an opportunity for new actors to participate in building
an efficiently interconnected territorial network, to face, with
more strength, new challenges and see a new dawn rise after the
pandemic winter," said FVG Councillor for Finance Barbara Zilli,
who attended the event. (ANSA).
