Ukraine: summit in Zagreb tomorrow on support for Kyiv

'Crimea platform' with MEPs. Pelosi among attendees

(ANSA) - ZAGREB, OCT 24 - A meeting of the Crimean Platform on support for Ukraine will take place in Zagreb tomorrow, this time in the form of an interparliamentary summit, attended by 42 delegations from 32 countries, including the speaker of the US House of Representatives of the Congress, Nancy Pelosi.

The meeting will be chaired by the speaker of the Croatian Parliament, Gordan Jandroković, and the head of the parliament of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefančuk. Belgium, the Czech Republic, Ireland, Poland, and Romania will send representatives from both houses of their respective parliaments, whereas 11 countries, including France, Hungary, Japan and Canada will join the summit via video link. Italy will participate in the meeting in Zagreb with senator Giulio Terzi di Sant'Agata, former Minister of foreign affairs, and the chamber of Deputies vice president, Sergio Costa. Volodymyr Zelensky, president of Ukraine, will also address the participants via videoconference.

Finally, a joint statement will mark the end of the summit.
