(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 28 - The president of the Czech Republic, Milos Zeman, described transsexual people as "disgusting" during an interview yesterday on CNN Prima News, commenting on the new Hungarian anti-Lgbtqi law.

"I can understand gays, lesbians, and so on. But do you know who I don't understand at all? These trans people," Zeman said, adding, "I find them inherently disgusting." Then, Zeman commented on the criticisms that Europe expressed of the Hungarian law. He said that interference in the internal affairs of any EU member country represented a significant political error and defended Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. "I see no reason not to agree with him," he added.
