Germany: companies spend 41.3 bn on environmental protection
Most money invested in waste management, climate protection

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUL 26 - Enterprises in German industry,
excluding construction, spent 41.3 billion euros on
environmental protection in 2019, data released today from the
German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) show.
Destatis said the current expenditure on meeting environmental standards referred to the operation of environmental protection installations and facilities and it also includes charges, fees and other environmental protection services not related to installations. Most of the money was spent in waste management and waste water management, and climate protection, Destatis data show. (ANSA).
