(ANSA) - BELGRADE, NOV 2 - On November 3, German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz will host in Berlin the heads of state of the Western Balkans, representatives of the participating EU countries, the United Kingdom, as well as international financial institutions and regional organizations for the Berlin Process 2022 Western Balkans Summit. The Berlin Process was established in 2014 as a platform for all Western Balkans states (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia) to accelerate closer alignment with the EU and deepen regional integration and cooperation as a key to economic growth and peace in the Western Balkans, according to the European Investment Bank (EIB). The process focuses on areas such as infrastructure development, business, regional youth exchanges, reconciliation, and science, the EIB said. (ANSA).
