Commissioner Varhelyi: 'We will cooperate on new investments'

(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 18 - 'Italy is an indispensable partner
for ensuring prosperity and stability in the Mediterranean and
Western Balkans. We will work together to provide
essential investments to stimulate economic growth and create
new jobs in the Western Balkans and the Southern Neighborhood.'
European Commissioner for Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi, said on
the sidelines of his visit to Italy.
"If our neighbors enjoy peace and prosperity, it will be so for us. We will intensify our efforts against illegal immigration by delivering patrol boats to Libya. We also agreed to continue to fight against traffickers and the illegal migration flows they created," he added. (ANSA).
