(ANSA) - MILAN, NOV 28 - Russian gas will be replaced
entirely by 2025, said ENI CEO Claudio Descalzi during
'Lombardia 2030'. "We started immediately last February to look
for diversification based on what we had in our portfolio in
Africa, the Middle East, the Far East, and the U.S."
"The problem has been solved - he added - because we managed to
cover 50 percent of Russian gas of 21/23 bn cubic meters, and in
2025, we will replace 100 percent. However, 2023 will be a
complex year - he underlined - because we will have 6/7 percent
of Russian gas, and we will have to be able to rely on LNG
coming to us by ship. "We need the infrastructure - he added -
to create an overabundant supply compared to demand." (ANSA).
