(ANSA) - TRIESTE, OCT 3 - The 54th edition of the Barcolana,
a historic international sailing event held in Trieste every
year, is already underway in the northern Italian city, with
side events centered on sustainability. Every year on the second
Sunday of October, Trieste hosts the Barcolana regatta, the core
event of the initiative. This year marks the 54th anniversary of
the international sailing regatta, which combines a competitive
race with a popular sailing spirit, transforming Trieste into
the European sailing capital. Before the "World's Largest
Sailing Race," a packed calendar of events, sporting
