Until March 3 for areas considered at risk.

(ANSA) - BERLIN, 23 FEB - Controls at Germany's borders, enforced since February 14, will be extended for another eight days until March 3. The Interior minister's spokesperson announced today. These checks occur at the borders with the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and part of Tyrol, all areas considered 'at risk' due to the spread of the UK covid variant.

There has been a stop for ten days to entries from these countries, except German citizens and foreigners who reside in Germany.

Yesterday the ministry headed by Bavarian Horst Seehofer announced that a debate is ongoing on potential measures in the area of Saarland, at the border with France. (ANSA).
