G20: Pagano (Fi), Italy asks for Poland's accession

'The country will continue to grow in the future'

(ANSA) - KARPACZ, 09 SET - "I believe that Italy, taking advantage of the leading role it has in the G20, should be the first of the countries to ask for Poland's entry into the same entity: Poland is an amazing country that has had exponential growth and will continue to grow in the future". FI Senator Nazario Pagano said during his speech at the panel discussion on "The priorities of the B20 in the field of international trade and investment", organized at the 30th Economic Forum in Karpacz, Poland.

The proposal of Pagano, who chairs the Parliamentary Intergroup of Italy-Poland Friendship, was made "on behalf of the entire Italian Parliament, therefore of the Chamber of Deputies and Senate" and "is what we absolutely must do and what I will do in the coming months", he added. "We are already Poland's second partner in the European Union - Pagano underlined -, so we should take advantage of this convergence between the two countries and I will work to achieve this goal."
