(ANSA) - GORIZIA, 21 SET - CAPRIVA DEL FRIULI, SEPTEMBER 21 - The Network of the New Alps-Adriatic Chambers of Commerce is working on an enlarged macro-region of the Alps-Adriatic region that, after today's entry into the group of the Chamber of Commerce of Bolzano/Bozen, begins an expansion towards the West and Europe. The deal signing that occurred at Villa Russiz includes Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Carinthia, Styria, Slovenia, Croatia, and South Tyrol. The agreement's goal is to strengthen the political network's position in the EU. In particular, the President of the Venezia Giulia Chamber of Commerce wanted to highlight the need to count more and more in Europe and Brussels, where European strategies are decided.

This objective will also be possible with the involvement of Eurochambers, the European Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Moreover, the network should ask for the support of the national governments of individual countries to make critical mass for a system that represents in its entirety almost 850,000 companies in 4 countries and a market of nearly 9 m people. The network is already looking at short-term planning in the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), seen as an important opportunity for the territories represented, and has already asked the European Parliament to support them. In particular, the entry of the Chamber of Bolzano7Bozen looks at the elaboration of European projects to support and develop female entrepreneurship, transnational cooperation in the Alpine area, and the presentation of joint proposals to access European funds dedicated to sustainability. The network will accelerate the creation of an Alps-Adriatic Green and Digital Forum. (ANSA).
