(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 04 OTT - Barcolana 54 is preparing for the Sea Summit - Towards the States General of Sustainability of the North Adriatic and Central Europe. More than 70 speakers will discuss "Sustainability and Complexity" from tomorrow to Friday at the Convention Center in Trieste. Among the guests of the first day are Italian Chamber of Deputies President Roberto Fico, mathematician Piergiorgio Odifreddi, philosopher Umberto Galimberti, teacher and writer Enrico Galiano, and the young co-founder of Fridays for Future Italia Sara Segantin.

Thursday morning will feature school children: more than 450 students have registered for "Barcolana Job," the format dedicated to work and training organized by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region that opens today. In the afternoon, among other events, companies such as Unicredit, Coop Italia, and Trenitalia will present their sustainability projects, and BAT Italia with Marevivo will illustrate the results of "Piccoli Gesti Grandi Crimini," the sustainability project that has affected several cities in Italy and was launched in May in Trieste.

Friday morning will focus on the port and the Gulf of Trieste: logistics, hydrogen valley, digital twin of the Gulf of Trieste, and CEI's NAMIRS project. Meanwhile, today's program includes the Barcolana Maxi-Trofeo Portopiccolo regatta, dedicated to over 16-meter long boats, and the Barcolana Sea Chef presented by Prosecco DOC, an event that mixes sailing and gourmet cuisine with renowned chefs as protagonists.

On land and at sea, in the spotlight today is also Barcolana's "solidarity sailing": a particular container of events featuring volunteer associations and realities that deal with the social integration of disabled people. (ANSA).
