Italy's FM signed an agreement on EEZ with Croatia

On Adriatic resources, a "new page in bilateral relations"

24 May, 15:00
(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 24 - "Croatian Minister Gordan Grlic-Radman and I chaired at the Farnesina the fifth session of the Bilateral Ministerial Coordination Committee. We reiterated the willingness to make it fully operational by pursuing concrete objectives, identified in the Final Declaration signed at the end of the talks." So said Italy's Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio at the end of the meeting with his Croatian colleague Gordan Grlic-Radman at the Farnesina.

"We also signed the agreement on the delimitation of Exclusive Economic Zones and a joint statement on the management of resources in the Adriatic Sea. Therefore, I can proudly say today that we have opened a new page in the relations between Italy and Croatia, renewing the centrality of the Adriatic dimension that unites our countries. This strategic axis will get further impetus through the trilateral cooperation in the Northern Adriatic with the involvement of Slovenia. In this regard, I confirmed to Minister Grlić-Radman Italy's willingness to organize a fourth meeting of the trilateral format by the end of the year." (ANSA).
