(ANSA) - STRASBOURG, 05 OTT - In Bosnia, the ratio of support staff for judges to the population is almost double the pan-European average. The data emerged from the latest report by CEPEJ, the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice, a Council of Europe body, which takes a snapshot of the situation in the 46 member states in 2020. Bosnia has 96.93 people helping judges for every 100,000 inhabitants, compared with a pan-European average of 56.3. However, CEPEJ underlines that the country "has an insufficient number of lawyers."
