(ANSA) - BELGRADE, NOV 9 - Ramiz Nukic, a Srebrenica genocide survivor who collected the mortal remains of war victims for more than 20 years, died at the age of 63 this week, local media reported. Nukic, dubbed the "bone hunter," spent the majority of the previous decade wandering through the woods near Srebrenica, collecting the bones of civilians killed during the genocide.

"Ramiz was a very special person. He responded to the crime that was perpetrated against his family by embarking on an unrelenting search for the remains of Srebrenica genocide victims," the International Commission on Missing Persons' (ICMP) Director-General Kathryne Bomberger said. (ANSA).
