Russia hits energy infrastructure for undermining morale

Consequences for interlinked water and heating systems

11 November, 12:50
(ANSA) - BELGRADE, NOV 11 - Russia has been attacking Ukraine with a campaign of strikes targeting electric power infrastructure since October 10, according to the UK Ministry of Defence. Continued Russian network degradation will almost certainly have consequences for interconnected water and heating systems, which will be felt most acutely by the civilian population during the winter as demand increases," the Ministry said in its latest intelligence update. "The continued prioritisation of critical national infrastructure over military targets strongly implies Russian intent to strike at civilian morale," the report reads. (ANSA).
