Police on Friday put two people under house arrest and imposed other forms of restrictive measures on three others for alleged involvement in the October 9 assault on the headquarters of the CGIL trade union during a Rome protest against the Green Pass COVID-19 health certificate.
The five people include the Catania head of far-right party Forza Nuova (FN).
FN's national leader Roberto Fiore and the group's Rome chief Giuliano Castellino are among 13 people to have already been sent to trial over the shocking attack on the union HQ.
The charges range from instigation to commit crime to devastation and resisting public officials.
