God doesn't reject gays or any of his
other children, Pope Francis says in a book out next week,
sources said Friday.
The statement is an echo of his famous response to a question on
gay Catholics shortly after he became pope in 2013: "Who am I to
judge.
"God is the Father and does not deny any of his children. And
God's style is closeness, mercy and tenderness. Not judgement
and marginalisation," the Argentine pontiff talking about gay
people in the book 'Fear as a gift' (with Salvo Noé, Edizioni
San Paolo), out next week.
"God draws near with love to each and every one of his children.
His heart is open to each and every one. He is Father. Love does
not divide, but unites".
Catholic Church dogma teaches that homosexuality is a disorder
and only chaste LGBTQI+ people do not sin.
