(ANSAmed) - ROME, NOV 24 - Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di
Maio on Wednesday said at Expo Dubai 2020 that "from here, from
Expo Dubai, we are launching a challenge for Expo Roma 2030".
"We are a step ahead: Italy has a lot to say, we are showing it
with the Italian pavilion in Dubai, in the Emirates, and we will
do it with our candidature of the capital Rome for Expo 2030",
the minister said.
"The Italian pavilion ranks fifth for the number of visitors
out of 192 countries, we have already reached 500,000 visitors
and we are over 5 million at the level of virtual and in-person
visits. This is very important because, also thanks to the
investment we have made on the Italy Pavilion in Dubai, we are
registering a record of exports of Made in Italy across the
world", stressed the minister.
"It is a record we have registered in the first few months of
2021 and I am sure it will continue to progress until the end of
the year, bringing well-made Italian products across the world".
"We have 230 billion euros of the National Recovery and
Resilience Plan to spend in three years. Our plan is to try to
build all conditions with reforms of the judiciary, the economy,
bureaucracy in order to attract as many investors as possible.
However, I have to say that it is already a golden year to
attract investments in Italy", he added. "Along with Intel
investments worth tens of billions of euros that are affecting
Italy - said Di Maio - there are other foreign companies that
are coming to invest in our country. The numbers are very good,
we are preparing for a growth of over 6% of our economy, and I
have to say that the Made in Italy and exports stimulate this
growth: it is worth over 30% of our GDP, marking a record with
377 billion euros in exports in the first nine months. It is
clear and evident that we are giving a contribution, thanks to
the work that we do with the Pact for Exports, substantial for
that 6% of economic growth". (ANSAmed).
