Covid: in Slovenia almost 1,400 new cases

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, SEP 14 - The number of new coronavirus cases continued to rise in Slovenia on Monday, with 1,393 new infections, up 59% from a week ago and the highest figure since 7 April, with the positivity rate at almost 25%, the Slovenian news agency STA reported today There are now more than 10,640 active cases in Slovenia, according to estimates by the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).

Starting from tomorrow, all workers and the self-employed in Slovenia will have to be vaccinated, have proof of recovery no more than 180 days old, or test at least once a week, STA wrote yesterday. The new 'Covid pass mandate' was introduced by a new regulation adopted by the Slovenian government on Saturday.
