An Italian policeman kept his knee
pressed onto the neck of a drunk man he was arresting in Verona
for over a minute despite the latter's complaints according to a
video on Repubblica.it.
The man was tackled by two police officers for allegedly being
drunk and disorderly.
One of them used the controversial knee on neck immobilizing
technique that has been outlawed by many forces after the death
of George Floyd in Minneapolis sparked the Black Lives Matter
firestorm of protests.
The Verona police force said "there was no abuse, and no
violence".
"The (officers) behaved in a correct and unimpeachable way," a
police spokeswoman said.
