A former Italian judge accused of
imposing an allegedly demeaning dress code on female former
interns returned to house arrest on Friday.
Former Council of State magistrate Francesco Bellomo was
returned to house arrest by a surveillance court in Bari.
Bellomo is accused of mistreating four young women, including
three former interns and a researcher at his training school.
He allegedly made them dress 'attractively' and behave in
allegedly demeaning ways, prosecutors say.
Bellomo is also accused of trying to extort another former
intern.
He allegedly forced her to leave her job at a local broadcaster,
prosecutors say.
